choices. The huge challenge was to
keep it brief, yet cover the essential
issues. I was delighted when the Guide
became a finalist for the Benjamin
Franklin Award.”
I
have now lived and counseled newcomers
for 20 years in the USA.
It
took two years to update the Guide and
it is now called EasyWayUSA: The Smart
and Safe Guide to Living in the USA.

Leon
Snaid is an expert in the
immigration experience.
After
he graduated from law school
in South Africa in 1969, he
worked in Israel for two years.
He then practiced law in South
Africa for ten years before
immigrating to the USA in
1981.
For
the past twenty years, he
has practiced immigration
law in San Diego and is a
Certified Immigration Law
Specialist, as certified by
the State Bar of California,
Board of Legal Specialization.
He
authored the Newcomer’s
Guide to Living in the U.S.A.
which became a finalist for
the Benjamin Franklin Award.
He
is a past president of the
San Diego County Bar Association
Immigration Committee. Since
1987, his biography has appeared
in the Marquis’ Who’s
Who in American Law. He has
been admitted to practice
law in three countries.
